What “Pre-Assembled Kitchen Cabinets” Really Means
Pre-assembled kitchen cabinets arrive with their cabinet boxes
professionally assembled before shipment. This delivery format removes
cabinet-box assembly from the jobsite, saves valuable preparation time,
and allows the cabinets to be inspected and protected before delivery.
Pre-assembled describes the delivery format—not one universal material
or construction specification.
Pre-assembled cabinets may also be described as ready-assembled or fully
assembled cabinets. However, they do not arrive as a completely installed
kitchen. After delivery, each cabinet still needs to be positioned,
leveled, fastened, and installed on site. Fillers, finished panels, trim,
countertops, appliances, and other project-specific components must also
be fitted during installation.
Pre-Assembled Cabinets Typically Include:
- Cabinet boxes professionally assembled before shipment
-
Doors and drawer fronts installed or prepared according to the
selected collection
- Drawer boxes installed where applicable
-
Soft-close hinges and full-extension drawer slides, depending on the
collection
- Quality-control inspection before shipment
- Protective packaging for delivery
Cabinet-box materials, drawer construction, hinges, slides, available
sizes, accessories, and finish options vary by collection. Review the
specifications for the exact collection you select before placing an
order.
