We ordered the cabinets assembled. One door had shifted a little during shipping, but tightening and adjusting the hinges fixed it. Other than that, being able to install them right away saved us a lot of time.
The final price was close to the original quote, with no surprise charges added at the end. We made a couple of changes before ordering, and each change was clearly explained. That made budgeting for the rest of the remodel easier.
We left the sample door in the kitchen for a few days and looked at it in both daylight and evening light before deciding. I’m glad we did because the color changes a little depending on the lighting. It turned out to be the right choice for our space.
I’m not especially handy, so I had a friend help me with the first few cabinets. Once we got a routine going, it wasn’t bad at all. They’re level, the doors close properly, and my kitchen finally doesn’t look like it belongs in the 90s.
Our installer has been doing kitchens for years and didn’t have anything negative to say about the cabinets. He made a couple of normal hinge adjustments and kept going. The job finished on schedule and the kitchen looks great.
